Serial number 321430. Characteristics include a
royal blued finish, later Type II black hard rubber stocks, bright polished barrel,
Rampant Colt (no globe) present on rear of slide (14 slide serrations), sight groove on
top of slide has transverse lines, slide marking in smaller font ending with Jul. 31 1917
patent date. Pistol also has the magazine safety disconnector (available after sn
141000) which prevents the arm from being fired with a round in the chamber when the
magazine has been removed.
Serial number 350788. Characteristics include a
royal blued finish, early Type I machine checkered walnut grips with forward facing flush
medallions (grips made standard after May 1, 1924, these medallions used for approx. three
months), bright polished barrel, Rampant Colt present on rear of slide (14 slide
serrations), sight groove on top of slide has transverse lines, slide marking in smaller
font ending with Jul. 31 1917 patent date. Pistol has the magazine safety
disconnector.

royal blued finish, Type II machine checkered walnut grips with left facing flush
medallions, bright polished barrel, Rampant Colt present on rear of slide (14 slide
serrations), sight groove on top of slide has transverse lines, slide marking in smaller
