-This National Match was furnished with a new safety device
(Swartz Safety), manufactured on November 18, 1937 and was a single gun shipment to Stambaugh Thompson Hardware Co., Youngstown, Ohio on November 23,
1937.

- Slide is numbered to the frame.
Notice that a standard feature of the
National Match is that the mainspring housing is not fitted
with a lanyard loop.

National Match slide C188041 has plunger for
Swartz Safety (above). National Match slide C188054 (below)
was made without the Swartz safety and does not have the
plunger milled in to the underside of the slide. Each
pre-WWII National Match pistol had a polished firing pin
housing.
