Colt Woodsman Bullseye Match Target .22 LR serial number MT8725 (ca. 1940) - This First Series Colt Woodsman Match Target is accompanied by its original box numbered to the gun. In addition, the bottom of the box contains the "Fitz" signature in red pencil which indicates that J. Henry Fitzgerald personally targeted this Woodsman pistol. This pistol has the Stevens adjustable rear sight and a set of the "elephant ear" checkered walnut grips with flush Colt medallions. The yellow hang tag provides specific instructions for adjusting the Stevens sight.
Pistol was a one gun shipment to J.L. Leahy in Bristol, Connecticut on May 6, 1940.
